| Abstract |
| Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is one of the most advanced radar imaging techniques that is used in a very wide range of applications. SAR is a very attractive and powerful tool for remote sensing. The SAR imaging technique depends on observing targets and takes multiple different angels shots. This could be done by maintaining the alignment and coordination between the radar antenna and the target of interest. SAR systems generate images by coherent processing of the scattered signals. Thus brings challenge in some practical applications including target identification and feature extraction. The main usage of SAR images is to be present to users or to feed another application to perform data analysis and extract information. Because of SAR systems structure and the high presence of noise, it is very difficult to read SAR images with low visibility. Image enhancement is essential and very significant for the hard nature SAR images. Enhanced SAR images will have a higher visibility level which means more details and information. This will make SAR images more reliable and more suitable for users or to be used by other applications. In this paper we will provide a survey on SAR imaging and Different techniques with different basis used for SAR image enhancement |
